RENTAL TERMS

Requirements

• Original Driver’s License from country of issue.
• Cost of Rental (Payable by Debit, Credit Card – VISA, AMEX, MASTER or Cash).
• Local Driver’s Permit is Mandatory.
• Other Additional Charges may apply.

Other Conditions

Drivers/Additional drivers
Hirer/Driver must be a minimum of 25 years and possesses a valid driver's license of which he/she has obtained for no less than (3) three years. Persons over 75 years of age must supply a doctor’s certificate.

Only the  person or persons  whose name or names  that is assigned on the contract is allowed to drive the vehicle. any other person found driving will be cause for immediate termination of contract with no refund being issued.

There is a one-time payment of USD $10.00 (excluding the local permit) for additional drivers.

Local driver permit
For drivers with a foreign License, a Local permit is mandatory, this can be obtained from the traffic department of the St Vincent police Headquarters in Kingstown and also at the airport, The Cost is XCD$125 or USD$50. There is no charge for Caribbean commonwealth nationals with a valid license from their country nor for persons with valid international driving permits. Please note that your original driver’s permit from your country of issue or your international driving permit must be presented at the time of picking up the rental.. 

Insurance
Insurance is covered by Sentry (west Indian Insurances Ltd) in St. Vincent.  All vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance, including EC$250,000.00 liability for passengers and third-party personal injury coverage.

The hirer accepts full responsibility of up to US$1100. for loss and/or  damages of the vehicle caused by accident, fire, or theft, regardless of who is at fault. A Pre-Authorization is a one-time transaction that will be placed on your credit card for an amount of US$800 which is a collision loss/damage insurance coverage and will be released as soon as vehicle has been returned and all necessary checks are made and satisfied. Please note that the release time varies depending on your issuing financial institution.

Delivery
Delivery is free of charge to the airport for arriving guests and to the guests’ hotel or apartment.

Airport Pickup
Redtop’s Auto Rental does not operate an airport office now, however, if you request pickup at the airport as you exit the Arrivals Hall, clients should make their way to the Customer Service desk where our Rental Agent would be waiting to assist you.
The opening hours of our airport operation are 7:00 am – 11:00 pm daily. If your flight is delayed and arrives after 11:00 pm, please telephone our office at (784) 496-6007 after 8:00 am the following day to reschedule your delivery.

Prepaid Reservation

By booking a prepaid rate, the payment will be charged before the start of the rental with the estimated total amount of the rental
(rental charge plus any other agreed charges and taxes for the full agreed rental period). The driver and confirmed payment method shall be finalized at the time of reservation and cannot be changed. The confirmed payment method must be valid and available for presentation at the time of pick-up and is subject to the conditions of payment above. All extra costs that occur during
the rental period will be charged with this payment method. A refund shall not be issued for non-collection, the vehicle being collected late, or the vehicle being returned early. late returns will incur a charge of USD$20 for each hour after the first two hours. You will be charged for a full day if you're more than two hours late in returning the vehicle.  

A prepaid booking can be changed up to 72 hours before the start of the rental (depending on availability). An alteration fee of US$15 applies. Any payment already made towards the rental will not be refunded; nor shall any differential amount be refunded if this alteration leads to a lower rental cost. Any changes made to a prepaid reservation may impact the rental rate.

Cancellations
A prepaid booking can be canceled a week or more before the start of the rental. In the event of a cancellation, any refund of the payment made towards the rental is subject to a cancellation fee. For reservations with a rental period lasting no more than two days, the total prepaid amount is non-refundable. For reservations with a rental period lasting more than two days: The first two days are non-refundable, the remaining days will be refunded.

If the booked vehicle is not collected, or not collected at the agreed time, the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.

Other Charges

Any other additional charges are based on customer/hirer requests or any 'add-on's' that you apply when you make your reservation.
A minimum fee of USD $50.00 will be applied if the vehicle returned needs extensive cleaning due to smoking, liquid stains, or any other residue.
Gas/petrol and baby seats are extra charges that may be added to your bill. 

No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside of any of the rented vehicles and is cause for immediate termination of contract with no refund being issued.
